Ample Security Measures in Place for Linden Town Week 2024

Attendees of Linden Town Week 2024 can expect optimum security measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

Superintendent Guy Nurse, Commander of Regional Police Division 10, has assured both locals and visitors that their safety and security are top priorities during the celebrations.

In an interview on the Guyana Police Force’s radio program, Radio Eve Leary, Superintendent Nurse outlined the security measures that will be implemented.

These include roadblocks, stop-and-search operations, and frequent patrols throughout the Linden Town Week period.

Superintendent Nurse emphasized the importance of safety precautions, urging licensed firearm holders to lodge their weapons at the nearest police station.

Prohibited items will not be allowed into any of the event venues, ensuring a secure environment for all attendees.

Furthermore, a 24-hour roadblock will be stationed at the Bamia Police checkpoint, conducting thorough stops and searches for prohibited and illegal items.

Continuous traffic patrols along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway will ensure the safety of motorists, while monitoring of internal roads in the town will prevent traffic congestion.

With these robust security measures in place, Linden Town Week attendees can enjoy the festivities with peace of mind, knowing that their safety is being prioritized by law enforcement authorities.
