TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO PREPARING TO SEND FLOOD- RELIEF SUPPLIES HERE.

Trinidad and Tobago is preparing to dispatch flood- relief items to Guyana.

Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley has instructed that immediate arrangements be made to send the requested items, as a matter of urgency.

This effort is being co-ordinated by the Ministries of Trade and Industries and National Security under the guidance of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs. 

Head of State, Dr. Irfaan Ali has declared the nationwide flooding a level-two disaster.

Just this past weekend, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) was informed that more than 29,000 households in over 300 communities are affected, with 205 persons placed in shelters.
