Western Tigers Triumph Over Den Amstel in KFC Elite League

In an exciting match of the KFC Elite League at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center, the Western Tigers secured a comfortable victory against Den Amstel.

The match saw Randolph Wagner of Western Tigers open the scoring just four minutes into the game with a successful strike.

Rashawn Rich furthered the lead in the 17th minute, putting Western Tigers ahead by two goals.

However, Den Amstel’s Jamal Robinson managed to reduce the deficit with a goal in the 39th minute, making it 2-1 at halftime.

After the break, Wagner extended the Tigers’ lead with his second goal of the night, bringing the score to 3-1.

Den Amstel’s Rondell Hutson responded with a goal in the 80th minute, sparking hopes of a comeback.

However, Andrew Murray of Western Tigers quickly dashed those hopes by adding another goal just a minute later, securing a 4-2 victory for the Tigers.

With the conclusion of Round 1, the KFC Elite League takes a break and is set to resume for the second round on May 18th at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center, featuring a double header.

Meanwhile, the league’s top players are preparing to be encamped as they seek selection for the Golden Jaguars squad.

The national team is scheduled to play two friendlies against Trinidad and Tobago at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain on May 13th and 15th.

The match showcased the skill and determination of both teams, with Western Tigers emerging victorious and Den Amstel displaying resilience despite the loss.
