In a thrilling night of boxing at the Everest Cricket Club, Elton Dharry emerged victorious over his countryman Dexter Marques to capture the WBA Super Flyweight Gold Title.

The highly anticipated fight night, touted as the biggest International Boxing Card in recent memory, drew a diverse crowd to witness the action-packed bouts.

However, all eyes were on the main event, where Elton Dharry faced off against Dexter “the kid” Marques.

Despite a solid first round from Marques, Dharry showcased his dominance in the ensuing rounds.

Referee Eon Jardine intervened in the third round of the scheduled 12-round fight, declaring Dharry the winner via TKO.

Dharry’s relentless assault saw him knock Marques down twice in the decisive round before the referee halted the bout.

With this victory, Dharry now sets his sights on a shot at the WBA title.

Expressing his aspirations, Dharry stated, “Hopefully the WBA was looking at me closely tonight, and they will assess my performance and decide if I will fight the world champion next.”

In response, Marques vowed to regroup and improve his game. “Well, I will go and sit down with my team, decide to move up in weight, and I think I’ll be stronger fighting at 118 or 122,” Marques asserted.

In a supporting bout, Olympian Keevin Allicock made a successful transition to the professional ranks with a TKO victory over Barbados’s Jusean Shepherd.

The undercard also featured exciting matchups, including Laured “the Lion” Stewart’s technical TKO win over Imran “the Magic” Khan and Nataly Delgado’s unanimous decision victory in the women’s WBA Federation super flyweight division.

The night concluded with Dharry standing tall as the new WBA Super Flyweight Gold Title champion, signaling a new chapter in his boxing career.
