Today marked the commencement of the 2024 edition of the Milo School Football Tournament organized by the Petra organization, with Abram Zuil Secondary and Bartica Secondary securing victories in the opening matches at the Ministry of Education ground.
In the opening match, Abram Zuil Secondary triumphed over Bush Lot Secondary with a scoreline of 2-1.
Lester Noel and Jeraldo Culpepper scored the crucial goals for Abram Zuil, securing their team’s victory.
Meanwhile, Bartica Secondary made an impressive start to their campaign with a dominant 5-1 win over L’Aventure Secondary School.
Rizer Ried netted a double, supported by goals from Dishon Stephens, Ezeikel Baldeo, and Billy Smith.
Director of the Petra Organization, Troy Mendonca, encouraged the young footballers to enjoy the game, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
The competition is sponsored by Massy Distributors through the Nestle Milo brand.
