Vaccination against the Coronavirus has commenced in Guyana with frontline workers at the GPHC being among the first to receive the jab.
On hand to oversee the process was Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony.
Guyana on Wednesday received 3000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from Barbados, which will be administered two doses each to 1500 persons.
This will include 100 from the Caricom Secretariat and 1400 frontline health workers in the public health system.
Also vaccinated this morning were frontline workers at the Covid hospital at Liliendaal..
