The case management conference on the Guyana/Venezuela border controversy has been postponed to February 26.
The conference was set for today after being postponed from January 15.
It will lay out details for the substantive hearing of the matter by the International Court of Justice.
Guyana is seeking a final and binding ruling that the 1899 Arbitral Award, which established the land boundary between then British Guiana and Venezuela, remains valid, and that Essequibo belongs to Guyana.
Venezuela has refused to participate in the process and continues its threats to this country’s sovereignty and acts of aggression against its citizens.
