Prime Minister and Coordinator of the National Covid-19 Task Force, Mark Phillips is appealing to workers in the public and private sectors to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
He says that by taking the vaccine as quickly as possible, persons will not only protect themselves, but also their loved ones.
Prime Minister Phillips says although vaccination is not mandatory, it has been proven as the best method in the fight against this disease.
He notes that unfortunately, too many Guyanese have died, while vaccines are available.
He adds that Government takes the occupational safety and health of all workers seriously.
