The Sophia minibus driver caught on camera threatening a police officer with a cutlass has been slapped with fourteen charges and placed before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Twenty-five-year-old Collis Whyte was caught on camera on Tuesday last, chasing a policeman with a cutlass.
He pleaded guilty to four of the charges – indecent language, threatening behavior, carrying an offensive weapon and resisting arrest and was sentenced to twelve months in prison.
He however pleaded not guilty to the other charges including, disorderly behavior, dangerous driving and failure to wear a seat belt.
Whyte will return to court on May 17 for the continuation of those matters.
