The driver of the car, who struck down and then dumped the body of Reonol Williams has been slapped with six charges, the Newsroom reported earlier today.
Daniel Melbourne was remanded by Magistrate Fabayo Azore when he appeared in the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
He pleaded not guilty to all six charges.
He has been charged with failure to report an accident, failure to render assistance after an accident, failure to produce the vehicle for examination, giving false information to the police and attempting to obstruct the course of justice.
The prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that Melbourne reportedly disposed of the body after the accident and the fact that he repeatedly lied to the police.
He will return to court on July 22nd.
