LOWENFIELD MOVES TO COURT OVER MOTION FOR DISMISSAL BEFORE GECOM.

Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfield has moved to the High Court, seeking an order to prevent GECOM Commissioners Sase Gunraj and Bibi Shadick from participating in the hearing of a motion tabled for his immediate dismissal.

There are three motions before GECOM, seeking the dismissal of Lowenfield; his deputy, Roxanne Meyers; and Region Four Returning Officer, Clairmont Mingo.

The three are facing the courts for a number of charges in relation to their alleged attempts to rig the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections.

GECOM took a decision last month to send them on leave.
