Two buildings are razed and a third damaged by an early morning fire on Durban and George Streets.
Some persons have been rendered homeless but the numbers are unclear as this time. Divisional Fire Officer for Operations Haimchandra Persaud who is on the scene told NCN News that they were alerted at 1.45am.The fire is believed to have started in the wooden structure on the corner that was used as a Vulcanising Shop.
Another wooden structure on George Street was destroyed. The fifth floor of the building that housed Elegance Pawn Shop on Durban was also damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported and a the origin of the fire has not yet been determined.
