CDC PARTAKES IN SURINAME/GUYANA OIL SPILL PREVENTION CONFERENCE

The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) today participated in a Suriname/Guyana Conference aimed at Cross-border Coordination in Spill Prevention and Response.

Director General of the CDC Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig, presented on Guyana’s behalf at the virtual two-day activity.

He elaborated on the country’s National Oil Spill Contingency Plan and its preparedness for related scenarios.

The Surinamese Government and other agencies such as ExxonMobil also contributed to today’s conference.
