Premier Eagles Victorious in DVA Clubs Volleyball League

In a thrilling showdown at the National Gymnasium, the Premier Eagles asserted their dominance over Vanguards Volleyball Club, securing their fourth win in the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) Clubs league.

The match unfolded with sheer superiority from the Premier Eagles, who emerged triumphant in three straight sets of the five-set encounter.

Led by Raenor Sharpe, the team delivered a commanding performance, clinching the first set with a resounding 25-10 victory.

The momentum continued in the subsequent sets, with Trevon McRae contributing nine points alongside Sharpe’s stellar performance.

Supported by Richard Telford, Keon Tanner, and Tyric McAllister, who each added crucial points, the Premier Eagles demonstrated their prowess, sealing the second and third sets with scores of 25-7 and 25-14, respectively.

McRae’s outstanding performance propelled him to the top of the individual points table, amassing a total of 64 points, surpassing Geno Caroll and Omari Joseph.

Meanwhile, in the league standings, Alphas Volleyball Club maintains its leading position with four wins and a single loss, followed closely by the Guyana Defence Force.

Despite their recent victory, the Premier Eagles currently occupy third place in the league standings.

As the league action continues, fans can anticipate thrilling encounters, with upcoming matches scheduled for early May.

Venguys will face Classic Ball Blasters on May 7th, followed by Vanguard taking on Castrol the following day.

Alphas Volleyball Club will clash with Classic Ball Blasters on May 9th, promising further excitement and intense competition.
