In an electrifying showdown at the Malteenoes Sports Club Ground, Thomas Lands, the Essequibo Jaguars emerged triumphant against the Demerara Hawks in the GCB T10 Blast cricket tournament.

Led by captain Kemol Savory, the Jaguars secured a commanding seven-wicket win over their opponents in a match filled with thrilling displays of skill and determination.

With 94 runs required for victory, the Jaguars chased down the target with impressive efficiency, crossing the finish line with seven wickets in hand and three overs to spare.

Savory played a stellar innings, smashing 36 runs off just 16 balls, showcasing his ability to lead from the front in high-pressure situations.

His aggressive batting included three boundaries and two towering sixes, setting the tone for the Jaguars’ successful run chase.

Supporting Savory’s heroics was rising star player Mavindra Dindyal, who matched his captain’s contribution with an equally impressive 36 runs off one additional delivery.

The duo’s partnership laid the foundation for the Jaguars’ comprehensive victory, leaving the Demerara Hawks struggling to contain their onslaught.

Despite a valiant effort from the Anacondas, led by skipper Anthony Adams, who top-scored with 28 runs, they fell short in their chase of the Piranhas’ target.

Captain Veersammy Permaul starred with the ball for the Piranhas, claiming four wickets to help secure victory for his team.
