Excitement Unfolds as Kares One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast Tournament Kicks Off

The second edition of the Kares One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast tournament got underway today across three venues, featuring 32 teams competing for a grand prize of 1.5 million GYD dollars.

At the Police Sports Club ground, the Stripling Warriors faced off against the Titans All Stars.

The All Stars, having batted first, set a target of 158 with a total of 157 for six in their 10 overs.

Key performances came from Shemoy Barrington, who scored 63, and Akshaya Persaud with 45 runs. Kemol Savory and Quentin Sampson contributed 16 and 12 runs, respectively.

Warriors’ captain Anthony Singh took three wickets for 31 runs in two overs.

The Stripling Warriors could only manage 97 for seven in their innings, falling short by 60 runs.

Over at the Queens College Cricket Ground, Premier Insurance delivered a commanding performance against the Ministry of Housing and Water.

Premier Insurance, batting first, amassed 117 for three, thanks to an impressive 98 from national U19 all-rounder Thaddeus Lovell and 26 from Carlos LaRose.

In response, the Housing Ministry’s team struggled and was bowled out for 68 in their 10 overs.

The tournament action continues tomorrow.
