Cumberland Primary Excels in NGSA Results for Region Six

Cumberland Primary School in East Canje, Berbice, has emerged with five students among the top ten performers in Region Six for the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).

The results, announced recently, highlight exceptional achievements across several schools in the region.

Khadeja Ramsammy of Cumberland Primary School clinched the top spot in Region Six, scoring 501.41 marks and securing a place at Queen’s College.

Following closely, Jenna Phillips, also from Cumberland Primary, achieved second place with 500.45 marks, earning a spot at the prestigious institution as well.

Additionally, Moonesha Naresh and Emma Ramcharan, both from Cumberland Primary, secured fifth and sixth places respectively, joining their peers at Queen’s College.

Shavish Jaikarran, placed eighth, completes the cohort heading to Queen’s College from Cumberland Primary.

Other top performers in Region Six include Calecia Narain from Rose Hall Primary School, Vincent Newyear from All Saints Primary School, and Ezra Harry from Cropper Primary School, who secured places at Queen’s College with their impressive scores.

Faith Narsingh of Massiah Primary School and Norisha Harrinarine of Rose Hall Primary School also made it into the top ten, marking a strong showing for their respective schools.

The NGSA results underscore Cumberland Primary School’s academic excellence and the broader success of students across various educational institutions in Region Six.
