As the countdown to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris continues, Guyana’s table tennis star Chelsea Edghill is intensifying her preparations for the prestigious event.

Edghill, who is set to compete in her second consecutive Olympic Games, expressed her excitement and honor in representing Guyana once again.

Following her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she also proudly carried the national flag alongside swimmer Andrew Fowler, Edghill is determined to deliver her best performance yet.

With the table tennis tournament scheduled from July 27 to August 10, Edghill has been diligently training both at home and abroad to refine her skills and strategies.

She emphasized her goal to play at her peak during the upcoming competition.

The 2024 Olympic Games will feature a total of 172 table tennis players, evenly divided between men and women, competing across five medal events.

Edghill is focused on improving her performance from her previous Olympic experience, aiming to make a significant impact in her sport on the global stage.
