Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the death of 25-year-old Joshua Hardatt, a welder from Corentyne, whose body was discovered in the back seat of his car.
Region Six Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus, confirmed this development, indicating that the suspects are currently assisting the police with their investigation.
Hardatt’s body was found on Wednesday morning in the back seat of his car, located on a dam leading to the Auchlyne cultivation area.
Investigators noted that the body exhibited signs of violence, including marks on the face, forehead, and a wound to the back of the head.
According to Commander Bacchus, the two suspects were apprehended in Region Three, with one of them reportedly having a prior relationship with the victim.
The investigation is focusing on gathering more information to establish the motive behind the alleged murder.
Reports indicate that Hardatt left his home on Tuesday evening in his car, heading to an unknown destination.
He was reported missing, and his body was discovered the following morning.
The police are continuing their efforts to gather evidence and piece together the events leading up to Hardatt’s death.
As the investigation progresses, authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
