GUINNESS GREATEST OF THE STREET KICKS OFF IN LINDEN

Action in the Guinness Greatest of the Street tournament kicked off in Linden on Wednesday evening with six thrilling games at the Silvercity Hard Court.

The tournament began with Swag Entertainment securing a 2-0 victory over ABG in the first game.

Deon Charter scored a Guinness goal in the 19th minute, a unique feature where a goal scored in the last three minutes counts as two goals.

In the second game, Team Fearless faced Coomacka Mines.

An own goal by Deron Gilbert of Coomacka in the 8th minute gave Fearless the lead they needed to win.

The Spaniards dominated the High Flyers in the third game, winning 4-0.

Jermain King scored in the 6th and 9th minutes, with Irise Albert adding another goal seconds after King’s first.

An own goal by the High Flyers in the 8th minute further cemented the Spaniards’ victory.

Excuse The Rush won against Tidal Wave in the fourth game, ending with a 6-3 score.

They scored in the 11th, 12th, 15th, and 17th minutes, and capped their performance with a Guinness goal.

The fifth game saw Young Gunners win by walkover against Super-Strikers.

In the sixth game, Universal Ballers and Hard Ball went head-to-head.

Jamal Caster scored for the Ballers in the 12th minute, with Javante Waldron equalizing in the 17th minute.

Hard Ball ultimately won the game on penalty kicks.

The tournament continues on Friday night with seven games scheduled at the Silvercity Hard Court.

This year, 24 teams are competing for cash and prizes totaling close to 1.5 million dollars.
