Carmelo Man-Son-Hing’s stellar performance, amassing 24 points, propelled the Cummingsburg Bounty Colts to a triumphant win in game three of the Guyana Amateur Basketball Association’s Under-23 club championship at the National Gymnasium.
In a thrilling showdown on Wednesday night, local basketball enthusiasts witnessed an intense clash between the Bounty Colts and Pepsi Sonics.
The game remained neck-and-neck throughout, with the first quarter ending in a tie at 16-16.
As the match progressed, the Bounty Colts managed to maintain a slight one-point lead heading into halftime, with the scoreboard reading 38-37.
The third quarter saw an impressive display from Carmelo Man-Son-Hing and Jadon Simon of the Colts, extending their lead to a commanding 67-55.
Despite a valiant effort from the Sonics’ Kirvin Mars, who contributed 37 points, and Shamar Hope with 18 points, the Colts maintained their composure and ultimately secured the victory with a final score of 90-86.
