The excitement of the Milo Schools Football Championship intensifies as the tournament progresses to the quarterfinal stage, set to unfold on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground.

The opening match is anticipated to showcase defending champions Chase Academy taking on Bartica Secondary.

The victor of this clash will advance to face the winner between East Ruimveldt Secondary and President’s College at 14:30.

The day’s lineup also includes Ann’s Grove facing off against Waramauri Secondary School, followed by Dolphin Secondary squaring off against West Ruimveldt.

Organizer Troy Mendonca assures spectators that these matches will be nothing short of thrilling.

Mendonca acknowledges the crucial support of the Ministry of Education in ensuring the high level of competition among the teams.

Sponsored by Nestle MILO and sanctioned by the Ministry of Education and approved by the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), the tournament enjoys support from additional sponsors such as the Ministry of Sport, Ministry of Local Government, Yellow Steel Inc, Massy, and MVP Sports.

Teams will compete for top honors, with the winning school receiving $300,000 towards a school project. Second, third, and fourth place finishers will also receive monetary prizes of $200,000, $150,000, and $75,000, respectively, also designated for school projects.
