Exciting Matches Unfold in Milo Schools Football Tournament

In the latest action of the Milo Schools Football Tournament held at the Ministry of Education ground on Sunday, New Central High and Charlestown Secondary battled their way to hard-fought victories.

Charlestown Secondary faced reigning champions Santa Rosa in a tense encounter.

Despite a goalless first half, Dilshawn Alleyne’s decisive strike in the 66th minute secured victory for Charlestown Secondary.

Meanwhile, the clash between New Central High and Queen’s College kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Queen’s College took the lead with Owen Hooper’s goal in the 19th minute, maintaining a 1-0 advantage at halftime.

However, New Central High fought back in the second half, with Akeame Forrester equalizing in the 60th minute.

Shortly after, a defensive error from Queen’s College resulted in an own goal, propelling New Central High to a 2-1 win.

Other victorious teams of the day included Waramuri Primary Top, Abram Zuil Secondary, Bishops’ High, and South Ruimveldt Secondary.
