In the latest fixtures of Season Six of the KFC Elite League at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center, Slingerz FC and Fruta Conquerors showcased their dominance with impressive wins.

The match between Slingerz FC and Ann’s Grove saw a competitive first half, with both teams unable to break the deadlock, resulting in a nil-all score at halftime.

However, Slingerz FC’s Jamaican coach, Alex Thomas, rallied his team during the break, leading to a commanding performance in the second half.

Marcus Tudor opened the scoring for Slingerz FC in the 51st minute, followed by another goal in the 55th minute, extending their lead.

Jerome Harrigan added a third goal in the 83rd minute, with Jamal Corrington and Gabriel DeSouza sealing the victory with goals in the 89th minute and injury time, respectively, securing a resounding 5-nil win.

In the opening clash, Buxton United failed to match the intensity of former elite league champions Fruta Conquerors.

The game was effectively decided in the first half, with Fruta Conquerors netting four goals before halftime.

Makhaya Jervis opened the scoring for Fruta Conquerors in the 30th minute, followed by Dwayne Jones three minutes later.

Antwon Denny contributed a brace, finding the back of the net twice before the break.

Despite a stronger defensive effort from Buxton United in the second half, they failed to pose a threat on the offensive end, ultimately losing 4-nil.

The victories for Slingerz FC and Fruta Conquerors maintain their momentum in the KFC Elite League, solidifying their positions as formidable contenders in the competition.
