The global spotlight is turning towards Guyana with the upcoming visit of former US President Bill Clinton to the country for the United Caribbean Panel.
This significant event underscores Guyana’s growing importance on the international stage, according to Dominican Republic Ambassador to Guyana, Ernesto Torres Pereyra.
In anticipation of President Clinton’s visit, Pereyra highlighted Guyana’s welcoming environment, robust institutions, and transparent processes, which he believes make the country an attractive destination for investment.
He emphasized that the forum will focus on generating favorable investments in Guyana, leveraging President Clinton’s experience as both a successful businessman and politician to provide valuable insights for the country’s economic trajectory.
Pereyra commended the leadership of President Ali, noting that his administration has been diligently preparing the country to embrace economic transformation while laying the groundwork to address future challenges effectively.
Expressing optimism about Guyana’s potential, Pereyra believes that the country can serve as a model for the world due to its cultural diversity and the government’s vision and support across various sectors.
He emphasized that Guyana feels like home to many, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
The United Caribbean Panel, organized by the Dominican Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 26 at the Arthur Chung Conference Center.
This event is expected to facilitate meaningful discussions and collaborations aimed at furthering Guyana’s development and strengthening regional ties.
