In a significant milestone for Bartica’s workforce, more than 40 residents of Region 7 have successfully graduated from various skills training programs offered by the Labour Ministry’s Board of Industrial Training (BIT).
The graduation ceremony, held in Bartica, celebrated the achievements of the graduates who received certificates in Welding and Fabrication, Electrical Installation, and Boat Building.
During the event, the graduates were applauded for their dedication and hard work, which equipped them with valuable skills essential for the competitive job market.
Reflecting on their experiences, Joseph Abrahams and Austel Evans, two of the graduates, expressed their appreciation for the practicality and enrichment provided by the training programs.
Labour Minister Joseph Hamilton, addressing the graduates, encouraged them to pursue their career aspirations through the ministry’s job bank service.
He highlighted the success of the job bank in facilitating employment opportunities for job seekers and urged the graduates to utilize this resource to fulfill their career goals.
With 17 women and 28 men among the graduates, the BIT training programs demonstrated inclusivity and empowerment for Bartica’s diverse workforce.
