NAP TO TACKEL HIV STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW POLICY.

Although Guyana’s HIV/AIDS programme results are among the Caribbean’s best, the country like many others, still face an uphill challenge when it comes to high levels of stigma and discrimination.

As such, a policy specific to this issue has been developed and could be implemented soon across the country, according to newly-appointed Director of the National AIDS Programme Secretariat, Dr. Tariq Jagnarine.
