HEALTH MINISTRY BEGINS VACCINATING PERSONS AGE 40 AND OLDER.

The Ministry of Health has begun vaccinating persons age 40 and older.

In addition, the ministry will be using the 24,000 Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines received through COVAX to administer the second dose to frontline healthcare workers.

Government is expecting the first batch of the Sputnik V vaccines ordered from Russia, later this week.

The vaccine is said to be about 92 percent effective against the virus.
