Zalika Samuels of Region 10 was crowned Miss World Guyana 2024 during a spectacular ceremony at the Ramada Princess Hotel.

The event, which marked the 10th anniversary of Guyana’s Beauty with a Purpose platform, celebrated the achievements of Guyanese women and the significant contributions they make to their communities.

This year’s competition saw five finalists, each representing a different region of Guyana as Regional Ambassadors.

Each contestant showcased their unique Beauty with a Purpose projects, which align with the Miss World ethos of advocating for positive social impact.

In her victory speech, Zalika Samuels expressed immense pride in her achievement, noting that her win as the first Miss World Guyana from Linden would have a positive and lasting impact on her community.

She also highlighted how her Beauty with a Purpose project would benefit the people of Linden.

The theme for this year’s pageant, “Majesty,” honored the strength, purpose, and dignity of all Guyanese women.

The organizers emphasized that the event was not just about beauty, but about celebrating the powerful contributions made by women to their communities and society at large.

Zalika Samuels’ victory marks another milestone for the Beauty with a Purpose initiative, which was originally introduced by Rafieya Husain, the Miss World Guyana who brought international recognition to the country.

This competition continues to inspire young women to combine beauty with social responsibility and make a meaningful difference.
