Youths Have a Great Future in the PPP – Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo

Over 6,000 youths from various parts of Guyana have participated in youth camps and conferences organized by the ruling People’s Progressive Party (PPP).

The party’s General Secretary, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, highlighted this impressive turnout, noting that about half of the regions have already been covered.

The PPP aims to continue its outreach to include young people in Regions 10, 7, 3, 6, and part of 8.

Dr. Jagdeo expressed his pride in the involvement of young people in the party, emphasizing that the Progressive Youth Organization (PYO) serves as a platform for nurturing future leaders.

He pointed out that the PPP is distinguished by its diverse and multi-ethnic representation, which was evident at these gatherings.

Reflecting on his own experience growing up in the PYO, Dr. Jagdeo highlighted the youth arm as an essential incubator for leadership, where young people learn empathy, understand struggles, and are encouraged to become good leaders.

He credited the success of these youth camps to the PPP’s legacy of fighting for freedom, exposing election fraud attempts, and the party’s substantial achievements in governance.

Dr. Jagdeo is optimistic that the PYO will continue to produce a new generation of leaders for the PPP who will rise to the national level, expressing his satisfaction with the enthusiasm and active participation of young people in these events.
