In a thrilling culmination of school basketball for 2023, Youth Basketball Guyana is hosting the 12th Titan Bowl finals and the Tertiary Basketball Knockout tournament finals tonight.

In the Titan Bowl XII semifinal on Thursday, Linden Technical Institute (LTI) secured a hard-fought victory against Kwakwani Secondary with a score of 51-48.
Kellon Phillips of LTI emerged as the game’s highest scorer, contributing 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Supported by Minian Vincent (10 points) and Jamol Semple (8 points), LTI dominated the contest, leading 38-21 at halftime.
Kwakwani Secondary, a former serial winner, fought back admirably but ultimately lost by a narrow margin.
The second semifinal featured Bishop’s High School facing off against President College, with Carmelo Man-Son-Hing (16 points) and Matthias Arrendell (13 points) leading Bishop’s High to victory.
Bishop’s High School will now compete against Linden Technical Institute for the Titan Bowl XII title.
In the Tertiary Knockout league, New Amsterdam Technical narrowly defeated Guyana School of Agriculture with a score of 67-66.
Charles Williams of New Amsterdam Technical was exceptional, scoring 36 points, securing 6 rebounds, and making 5 steals.
Qwesi Joseph (20 points, 11 rebounds) also played a crucial role for New Amsterdam Technical.
In another match, the University of Guyana dominated Linden Technical Institute with a score of 87-52, led by Jushawn Bailey (23 points) and Jether Harris (18 points).
The tournaments, sponsored by Banks DIH LTD, ENET, John Fernandes, and others, promise a thrilling showcase of basketball talent.
