President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali is urging young Guyanese to identify and capitalize on opportunities emerging across the economy.

He says investments targeting young people are already producing transformational results.

The President says young people must be prepared to recognize and seize opportunities as Guyana’s economy continues to transform.

He says government investment in young people is important, but individual initiative will also be critical to turning those opportunities into meaningful outcomes.

President Ali is urging young Guyanese to maximize the opportunities available to them and position themselves to benefit from the country’s development.

Young people need to spot opportunities today, there are so much opportunities you know, the young people we brought together, to do the tunnel house project, the swine project, the ladies doing the shade house project, these are all emerging to be such transformational investments for those young people,” he said.

The President says the broader objective is to equip young people to become active participants in Guyana’s growing economy, with initiative and entrepreneurship helping to turn opportunities into lasting livelihoods.
