of Guyana, marking a historic return to the country after 26 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The King touched down at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport approximately 2:30pm Guyana time, where he was warmly&nbsp;received by President&nbsp;Irfaan Ali and accorded a military welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" to strengthening cooperation on matters of mutual interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his two-day visit, King Charles&nbsp;will pay tribute to fallen service personnel at the Georgetown Memorial,&nbsp;meet withIndigenous leaders, scientists and environmental experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the public will also have an opportunity to be part of this historic occasion during a public engagement at the Kingston Seawall on Friday, October 30.\u00a0<br>The King last visited Guyana in\u00a0the year\u00a02000, and his return marks another significant chapter in the longstanding relationship between Guyana and the United Kingdom, as both nations commemorate 60 years of bilateral relations.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure
