{"id":32291,"date":"2026-10-06T20:29:51","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T00:29:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=32291"},"modified":"2026-10-06T20:29:51","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T00:29:51","slug":"caribbean-tourism-must-embrace-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/caribbean-tourism-must-embrace-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"Caribbean tourism must\u00a0Embrace AI \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Tourism Strategist tells SOTIC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-by Nakasia Logan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Caribbean tourism industry&nbsp;could lose valuable connections with travelers to international companies such as Expedia, Airbnb and Google, unless it moves faster in using&nbsp;artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This warning from&nbsp;tourism&nbsp;strategist Kevon Wilson of Leve Global,&nbsp;during his presentation at the region\u2019s&nbsp;State of the Tourism Industry Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his presentation in the Exhibition Centre of the Atlantic Suites, Kingston Georgetown,&nbsp;the&nbsp;chief operating officer and senior strategist at Leve Global&nbsp;told the gathering that the tourism game has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wilson pointed to the fact that having websites and social media platforms is not enough for presence as tourism businesses must also ensure they can be found and recommended by Artificial Intelligence AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday 2026 and beyond we are in the AI era and its really about how can these AI models find you. They are not showing you 30\/50 pages anymore they are recommending the top tow and top three and if you don\u2019t position yourself properly with structured trusted content.
