class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Colour, rhythm and tradition filled the National Cultural Centre&nbsp;on Wednesday night&nbsp;as delegates representing Regions One through Ten took the stage for the 2026 Miss Amerindian Heritage Pageant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The delegates introduced themselves and their regions before facing the intelligence segment, where they showcased their knowledge, confidence and passion for their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The talent segment brought Indigenous culture to life through song, spoken word and other performances, followed by evening gown and traditional wear presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex pageant also celebrated 25 years of crowning queens, with former titleholders recognised for&nbsp;their contribution to Indigenous culture and representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the competition drew to a close, Region Five placed fourth and won Best Talent, while Region Eight finished third and secured Miss Congeniality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Region Nine placed second and won Best in Traditional Wear, while Region Two was named First Runner-Up and captured Best in Evening Gown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The night belonged to Region Four\u2019s Alliah Simon, who emerged victorious and was crowned Miss Amerindian Heritage 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n<div was more than a competition for a crown.
