{"id":31632,"date":"2026-08-28T19:43:46","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T23:43:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=31632"},"modified":"2026-08-28T19:43:46","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T23:43:46","slug":"pedestrian-killed-while-crossing-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/pedestrian-killed-while-crossing-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian killed\u00a0while crossing road"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>in&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Corentyne motor lorry&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>crash<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-by Kyler Rollins <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The father of a 47-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a motor lorry along the No. 67 Village Public Road on Thursday,\u00a0is calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Priya Hunte of Lot 95&nbsp;B, No. 67 Village, Corentyne, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed in&nbsp;a&nbsp;fatal accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police&nbsp;say&nbsp;the accident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. and involved motor lorries GAF 6180 and GAE 8823, as well as the female pedestrian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Priya\u2019s 79-year-old father, Pablo Hunte,\u00a0relating what he was told,\u00a0said his daughter was on her way to a religious function and had allegedly attempted to cross the road to go to a nearby shop when tragedy struck.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>Somebody seh like she bin go dah over of the road. Like she must\u00a0be want\u00a0to at the shop\u00a0lil\u00a0bit and buy something more.
