{"id":31424,"date":"2026-08-15T19:30:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T23:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=31424"},"modified":"2026-08-15T19:30:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T23:30:22","slug":"indias-80th-independence-day-observed-in-guyana-with-flag-raising-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/indias-80th-independence-day-observed-in-guyana-with-flag-raising-ceremony\/","title":{"rendered":"India&#8217;s 80th Independence Day observed in Guyana with flag-raising ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The High Commission of India and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre\u00a0have commemorated India&#8217;s 80th Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony in Georgetown.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the Indian community, students, officials and friends of India attended the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acting High Commissioner Manoj Kumar read excerpts from the address to the nation by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, highlighting the country\u2019s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tribute was also paid to India&#8217;s Armed Forces and Police as well as members of the Diaspora\u00a0and diplomatic community.
