{"id":31327,"date":"2026-08-10T18:56:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T22:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=31327"},"modified":"2026-08-10T18:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T22:56:08","slug":"free-dialysis-care-coming-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/free-dialysis-care-coming-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Dialysis Care Coming Soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<strong>to Enmore Regional Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-by Celestine Chacon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Free dialysis care is expected to form a central component of services soon to be offered at the Enmore Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This update was provided by Chief Executive Officer and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Tracy Bovell, during an exclusive interview with NCN News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Bovell said while the hospital already provides an array of critical services such as bone repairs, chest and spirometry clinics, psychology, optometry, and surgical services to patients, free dialysis care will become a key component of the expanded medical services that will soon become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWe are at that point, I can\u2019t\u2019 tell you an exact date because they\u2019re some fine tweaks that we\u2019re working out, because when we start a service the service is going to continue, the plan is never to stop a service so we want to iron out any kinks so we can start promptly<\/strong>,&#8221; she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She explained that while the hospital continues to fine-tune the systems required to deliver the service, staff members are prepared to begin providing dialysis care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;<strong>Through the Georgetown public hospital we have done, four of our nurses have already been trained , they have returned, and we have another that is currently been trained<\/strong>,&#8221; Dr. Bovell said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The free dialysis service adds to the Government\u2019s annual $600,000 grant, further easing the financial burden on citizens requiring haemodialysis treatment and supporting their overall health and well-being.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8211;to Enmore Regional Hospital -by Celestine Chacon Free dialysis care is expected to form a central component of services soon to be offered at the Enmore Regional Hospital.
