Representing Guyana is Hon. Vickram Bharrat, MP, the Minister of Natural Resources, who was officially nominated as a Principal Member of the Implementing Country Constituency on the Board of the EITI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this high-level international capacity, Minister Bharrat will represent the entire Latin America and the Caribbean region for the 2026\u20132029 term. The appointment, announced on Tuesday June 30, 2026 by the EITI International Secretariat via an official circular, follows a rigorous four-month regional nomination and consensus-building process running from February 11 to June 24, 2026.<br><br>As Guyana\u2019s national EITI Champion, Minister Bharrat\u2019s elevation to the international governing body arrives at a definitive moment for the country\u2019s own resource management.
