President Dr. Irfaan Ali celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Brahma Kumaris’ presence\u00a0in Guyana, emphasising the essential role of spiritual growth in national development.\u00a0The occasion was marked by a special visit of Sister Jayanti, a global spiritual leader\u00a0and foundational figure in the movement’s early years in Guyana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, President Ali commended the Brahma Kumari for five decades of dedicated\u00a0service, spiritual guidance and community upliftment, noting that the organisation has\u00a0helped countless Guyanese embrace inner peace, meditation and positive thinking.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

The head of state noted that even as Guyana experiences unprecedented development, spiritual\u00a0and moral growth remain equally vital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“But as we celebrate material progress, we must also recognise that a nation can build\u00a0highways, but it must also build character.\u00a0A nation can construct buildings, but it also must construct values.\u00a0And a nation can accumulate wealth, but it must also cultivate wisdom,”<\/em><\/strong> he said. <\/p>\n\n\n

President Ali welcomed Sister Jayanti, acknowledging her pivotal role in the movement’s growth\u00a0and the lasting impact of her vision.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The seeds that were planted through your guidance, encouragement and vision have flourished over\u00a0the decades.\u00a0Today, we see the fruits of that labor in the many individuals whose lives have been enriched\u00a0by the teachings and practices of Brahma Kumaris,” <\/em><\/strong>he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President also underscored the alignment of the Brahma Kumaris’ teachings with the\u00a0national vision of One Guyana, emphasising unity, mutual respect and compassion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
