Speaking during the opening of the Caribbean Economic Forum, Central Bank governor Dr. Gobind Ganga said the country&#8217;s macroeconomic fundamentals remain strong and are expected to stay that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Our macroeconomic indicators have all been stable for the longest while, over 10 to 15 years, and they are expected to stay that way and we continue to grow double digits,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Ganga explained that revenues from the oil sector are being managed through the Natural Resource Fund, helping to maintain economic stability while preventing overheating and protecting Guyana from the effects of the Dutch Disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He noted that the country&#8217;s policy framework is designed to ensure growth benefits multiple sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor also underscored the importance of regional collaboration to advance climate-resilient investments, particularly in agriculture and tourism, which he said can attract additional financing and drive sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It is a must that we must have regional partnership in some of these sectors.
