The Guyana National Stadium was abuzz with activity and entertainment over the weekend\u00a0as back-to-back concerts were held, bringing out Guyanese in their numbers\u00a0with Guyana’s 60th Independence anniversary just around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, thousands packed the National Stadium for the one Guyana mega-concert\u00a0at the Guyana Fest 2026, celebrating the very best voices and talent from across the nation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It featured a star-studded line-up of local artists like Adrian Duchin, Calvin Burnett,\u00a0Samuel Medas, Diana Chapman, Nesta Nelson, Omai Hall, Nikita and Vanilla.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert, held just after Saturday’s show stopping, Night of Legends,\u00a0forms part of the plethora of activities planned in the lead-up to Guyana’s Independence Jubilee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patrons danced and sang along to classic hits. The concert showcased a blend of Chutney, Reggae, Soca and folk-inspired music,\u00a0reflecting Guyana’s rich and diverse heritage.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues,\u00a0hailed the concert as a tribute to entertainers who placed Guyanese music on the regional and international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We celebrate everything Guyanese, our identity, our culture and our icons.\u00a0I was so surprised when I saw the level of engagement online\u00a0and the level of interest in our iconic singers and performers that we have here this evening,” <\/strong>she said. <\/p>\n\n\n

Food vendors, cultural displays and independence-themed decorations added to the festive atmosphere\u00a0as families and supporters enjoyed the evening’s performances.
