{"id":29901,"date":"2026-05-15T20:17:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T00:17:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=29901"},"modified":"2026-05-15T20:17:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T00:17:18","slug":"celebrating-international-day-of-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/celebrating-international-day-of-families\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating international day of families"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In observance of International Day of Families today,\u00a0the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security\u00a0hosted a Family Support and Wellness Fair\u00a0at the Umana Yana.\u00a0The event brought together school children and families\u00a0for a day of engagement, learning and support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Held under the theme\u00a0Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,\u00a0the event highlighted the importance of strong family units\u00a0and access to support systems\u00a0that promote healthy communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry emphasised that families\u00a0remain the foundation of society\u00a0and play a critical role\u00a0in shaping the well-being of children and communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human Services Minister Dr. Vindhya Persaud says\u00a0strong and stable families require support,\u00a0understanding and involvement from everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And in this regard,\u00a0she used the opportunity to highlight\u00a0the role of the Family Enhancement Services Section\u00a0of the Ministry.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;You can go in there,\u00a0any member of a family,\u00a0and say, look, we need help.\u00a0That&#8217;s all.
