With nurses now being trained through a hybrid learning approach,\u00a0she says more registered nurses will be added to the system soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nursing staff at the New Amsterdam Hospital has increased from approximately 200 to 418,\u00a0a development credited to the Ministry of Health&#8217;s hybrid approach to training patient care assistants,\u00a0nursing assistants and registered nurses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the matron acknowledged that there is still a shortage of registered nurses.\u00a0She noted, nevertheless, that the profession has evolved significantly,\u00a0with a new batch of nurses expected to complete their training soon\u00a0and join the hospital&#8217;s workforce by August.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Nursing has elevated a lot.
