{"id":29780,"date":"2026-05-07T19:47:32","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T23:47:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=29780"},"modified":"2026-05-07T19:47:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T23:47:32","slug":"guyana-and-zambia-strengthen-media-cooperation-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/guyana-and-zambia-strengthen-media-cooperation-ties\/","title":{"rendered":"Guyana and Zambia strengthen media cooperation ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>-by Shamiah Grant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a strategic move to strengthen responsible reporting\u00a0and develop the global media landscape,\u00a0Guyana and Zambia are deepening bilateral ties\u00a0to enhance media and economic cooperation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2026 World Press Freedom Day conference,\u00a0Public Affairs Minister Kwame McCoy met with\u00a0Zambia&#8217;s Minister of Information and Media, Cornelius Mweetwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to bilateral cooperation\u00a0with a focus on cross-border learning and strategic partnerships\u00a0aimed at enhancing their respective media sectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both parties also signaled a strong intention\u00a0for continued high-level engagement to advance these shared goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Let us all together work earnestly in a forward movement\u00a0with clarity and purpose to be united in the understanding\u00a0that a free, fair and responsible press is not optional.
