Ali"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>As Guyana continues its rapid rise as a major offshore oil producer,\u00a0President Dr. Irfaan Ali told the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston\u00a0that the world must pursue a balanced energy strategy to meet the growing demands.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to hundreds of industry leaders, innovators and investors,\u00a0the Guyanese head of state urged decision-makers to confront a key question,\u00a0whether sufficient affordable energy is being produced to meet global needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;The world is pursuing an energy transition in a context where demand is rising,\u00a0supply is under pressure and existing energy systems remain indispensable.
