{"id":29634,"date":"2026-04-27T18:41:49","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T22:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=29634"},"modified":"2026-04-27T18:41:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T22:41:49","slug":"judicial-stakeholders-engage-in-four-day-justice-reform-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/judicial-stakeholders-engage-in-four-day-justice-reform-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Judicial stakeholders engage in four-day justice reform training"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Judicial officers and stakeholders are participating in four-day PACE Justice training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative aims to improve the management and resolution of criminal cases, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the justice system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme, the PACE Justice Initiative is placing strong emphasis on restorative justice, criminal mediation, and improving outcomes for children in conflict with the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNDP Resident Representative for Guyana and Suriname, Kath Thompson, said support is being provided to modernise the system through digital tools, including hardware and software aimed at improving efficiency across the courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019ve been working\u00a0 in-terms of provision of both hardware and software in-terms of the digitization or digitalisation of the justice stakeholder.
