{"id":29292,"date":"2026-04-09T18:58:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T22:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=29292"},"modified":"2026-04-09T18:58:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T22:58:22","slug":"family-entertainment-takes-center-stage-at-play-land-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/family-entertainment-takes-center-stage-at-play-land-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Family entertainment takes center stage at Play Land 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-NaAsia Bristol <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Guyana prepares to celebrate its 60th Independence anniversary, a major family-friendly event is in the works to bring children and families together in a fun and safe environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Play Land 2026\u2014a collaboration between DACCO Guyana and Kids Fest 592\u2014is set to deliver a full day of entertainment, creativity and family bonding when it takes over the Guyana National Stadium Tarmac on May 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Play Land 2026 will be held on Sunday, May 31, at the Guyana National Stadium Tarmac from 1 PM to 8 PM, promising a full day of fun, creativity, and family bonding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Event organizers say while Play Land is designed with children in mind, the experience goes far beyond just young people, offering activities for the entire family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Event Manager Natalya Thomas, the initiative is built on a foundation of inclusivity and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;We are dedicated to creating secure, fully managed spaces where children can roam freely. Parents can breathe easy, and<\/strong> <strong>families can create lasting memories together<\/strong>,&#8221; she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organizers note that the event will feature a wide range of attractions, including Bouncy Castles, trampolines, novelty games, go-kart racing, kids Fest Pageant, Kids spa, DIY Creative zone and the Squid Game Experience among other fun interactive activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day will also feature a super concert and fest pageant designed for young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Co-founder, Herman Small added that the aim is to create a space for families to bond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;<strong>The purpose this year for Kidsfest is to ensure that children, not just children, families, have a reason to come out and a reason to engage in activities that will bond, give them a greater bond than they already have<\/strong>,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early bird tickets for Play Land go on sale from Monday, April 13, with children\u2019s tickets priced at $1,500 and adults at $2,500.
