Guyana\u2019s efforts to market its unique Eco-tourism product is also receiving global attention, with the arrival of large group, in search of new places for nature and wildlife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cruise ship with 89 passengers and 79 crew members, docked at the Guysuco wharf today, looking for the next great adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain of the MS Hebridean Sky, Philippa Ann Bowden, said they were enticed by the country\u2019s rich heritage and its growing tourism reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We want to discover and explore new places, new itinerary, and new sort of destination for nature wildlife and we are particularly interested in eco-tourism,” Bowden said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On hand to welcome the visitors was Tourism Minister, Susan Rodrigues, who noted that major investments are ahead to expand cruise tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister said, “It\u2019s an area in which we are continuing to invest and we will invest in the infrastructure to upgrade our port facilities and we will be ensuring that we form those partnerships global cruise lines<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
