{"id":28803,"date":"2026-03-15T13:14:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-15T17:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=28803"},"modified":"2026-03-15T13:14:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T17:14:07","slug":"venezuelan-national-dies-after-electric-bike-collision-on-enmore-public-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/venezuelan-national-dies-after-electric-bike-collision-on-enmore-public-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Venezuelan national dies after electric bike collision on Enmore Public Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last evening on the Enmore Public Road, East Coast Demerara, involving a motor car and an electric bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dead is Carlos Eliber, a 34-year-old Venezuelan national.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police reports, motor car PAN 5007, driven by a 25-year-old man of Blossom Scheme, Enmore, was proceeding west when Eliber allegedly rode his electric cycle across the road and into the vehicle\u2019s path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver told investigators he swerved south in an attempt to avoid the collision but was unable to prevent the impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the crash, Eliber was flung into the air before landing on the roadway with severe injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emergency medical technicians were summoned to the scene and he was later examined by a doctor from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police also reported that a breathalyser test conducted on the driver registered 35 and 39 micrograms of alcohol in his breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver remains in police custody as investigations continue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last evening on the Enmore Public Road, East Coast Demerara, involving a motor car and an electric bike.
